Work – Imaging the Bible in Wales – Exhibition An exhibition was organised concurrently with the 2008 Imaging the Bible Conference, and curated by John Harvey, Martin Crampin and John Morgan-Guy. It included new work by students and staff from the School of Art, as well as work from the University Collections. The exhibition was opened at the School of Art Gallery, Aberystwyth, on 1 April 2008.
This image was created for the Imaging the Bible exhibition. Representing the vision of the four living creatures in the fourth chapter of the book of Revelation, the image was printed on canvas. A series of projections of the four creatures in a variety of media photographed for the Imaging the Bible in Wales project were projected onto the artwork. The patterns are based on the medieval woodcarving at the Church of St Anno, Llananno, Mid Wales. For more images from the exhibition, please visit the School of Art Museum website: |
