Work – Design for Print – Logos 2009 Design for the new research initiative 'Monastic Wales' comprised design for the website and database, postcards for publicity and a logo. The pattern is based on a medieval tile from the Abbey of Strata Florida. A collaboration between the University of Wales, Lampeter, and Aberystwyth University, the resource was launched at a conference in October 2009.
During the year two logos were designed for the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies. A new logo for the Centre was based on the central boss of a stone cross at St Davids, carved in about 1080, and has been adapted to match the new branding of the University of Wales. A second logo was developed for the research project editing the poetry of the fifteenth-century poet Guto'r Glyn. |
