Work – Teaching From October 2003 I have been lecturing in Photoshop for the School of Education and Lifelong Learning, University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Rather than focussing simply on creative techniques, I encourage innovative use of the application for the creation of individual digital imaging. SInce we reorganised the Photoshop courses in 2009 I have taught Imaging with Photoshop course, a Level 1 10 credit course, and Photoshop for Photographers, a Level 0 5 credit course. My first teaching appointment was at Gwent Tertiary College, Crosskeys, from September 1998 until June 1999 when I moved to Aberystwyth. Working in both the Art and Photomedia Departments, this included lecturing in Multimedia, Digital Imaging and Desktop Publishing for HND, BTEC and GNVQ courses. Since I started working on the Visual Culture of Wales and Imaging the Bible in Wales research projects I have been asked to contribute sessions and workshops at a variety of conferences and training days, sometimes with colleagues from these projects. Usually these have focussed specifically on the research and outcomes of these projects. |
