Stained Glass Windows in the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Tenby Stained Glass Windows in the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Tenby (2014) 24 pp. This full-colour booklet was commissioned by the Friends of St Mary's and launched in September 2014. There is Victorian glass at the church by William Wailes, Clayton & Bell and W.G. Taylor, although some of the nineteenth-century stained glass has been taken out. Early in the twentieth century two windows were added by both Karl Parsons and by the firm of C.E. Kempe & Co. The large Parsons window is a war memorial and one of the finest windows in Pembrokeshire, while the larger Kempe window is also a war memorial and among the firm's largest works in south Wales. A window of 1955 was made by John Hardman Studios, and a set of heraldic shields were added by John Baker in 1985. These windows are all illustrated and described in the booklet.
I wrote and designed the booklet, using my own photography, and the booklet was printed by the Welsh press Y Lolfa in Talybont. It was retrospectively given an ISBN number and listed with Sulien Books. The guide is available from the church for £2.50, or alternatively contact me and I will forward requests for copies to the Friends of St Mary's.
